Laurence Campbell Obituary
Laurence “Larry” F.J. Campbell, Retired Air Force Master Sergeant, passed away peacefully at his home in Vacaville, California, on June 21, 2026, surrounded by love on Father’s Day.
Born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, to the late Estelle A. Currie and Laurence J. Campbell. Larry relocated to Lynn, Massachusetts, as a young man before enlisting in the Air Force. He proudly became a US citizen on August 31, 1964, just days after the birth of his firstborn son, and went on to dedicate his life to his country and his family.
Our family has suffered an immeasurable loss. We have lost our foundation, our rock, and the greatest role model of a man, husband, father, Papa, and great-Papa. His love, strength, and legacy will remain with us forever. He ended his earthly journey just how he wanted, with his beloved bride of almost 64 years, Helen laying by his side and his family on the back porch talking and laughing.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Campbell. He was the devoted father of Larry Campbell; Glenn Campbell and his wife, Amy Santiago.
He was the proud Papa of his grandchildren: Chelsea Syphers and her husband, Shawn Syphers, Chase Campbell and his partner Karina Duarte,Tessa Campbell and her partner Jesus Ferrer; Chloe Campbell and Cash Campbell.
He is also survived by his cherished great-grandchildren: Rylea Gray, Christopher Gray, Ruah Syphers; Delaine Campbell; Roman Rios and Ofelia Ferrer.
A celebration of Larry’s life with military honors will be held on July 17, 2026 at 12:30pm at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon California.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Laurence Campbell to the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation at aamds.org/donate.
